The Ladies European Tour is a professional golf tour for women which was founded in 1979. It is based in England. Like many UK-based sports organisations it is a company limited by guarantee, a legal structure which enables it to focus on maximising returns to its members through prize money, rather than on making profits for investors.

Golf Development Wales was established as a result of Wales’ successful Ryder Cup Bid and focuses on encouraging more people especially women and children to take up the sport. GDW is a strategic partnership between the Golf Union of Wales, the Golf Foundation and the Sports Council for Wales.

The PGA is a members' organisation for golf professionals. It has been at the heart of the game since 1901, when professionals of the day, led by the Great Triumvirate of JH Taylor, Harry Vardon and James Braid, formed an organisation to protect the professionals' interests and promote the game of golf.
