Regardless of your membership category, all Clays Golf members are eligible to apply for a handicap. Members who wish to obtain or renew their handicap after each year, are required to pay an annual handicap fee which covers the Clays Golf Members Club Levy, Wales Golf & Denbighshire Golfing Union affiliation fees. Please follow our step by step guide below on how to achieve your first handicap.
Step One
Pay your handicap fees. Simply click on the link above to find out how much they are and how you can pay.
Step Two
Play three 18 hole rounds or a combination of 18 and 9 hole rounds totalling 54 holes. Record your scores using a printed scorecard or an app you can download on your smartphone. Ensure you play with a marker to verbally agree your scores.
Step Three
Once you have your scores which total 54 holes, please fill in the Handicap Application Form at the bottom of this page.
Step Four
Your handicap will then be processed and allocated within 3 to 4 days. You will receive an email confirming your handicap.
Step Five
Once your handicap has been allocated to you, you can then register for Howdidido and the Wales Golf Clubhouse. Howdidido gives you online access to all of our competition results. You can also download your handicap certificate and view your CDH number within Howdidido. Wales Golf Clubhouse also gives you access to your scoring history and handicap index.
